As you might have expected, President Museveni is not one who easily concedes defeat even if, like King Nebuchadnezzar's case, it is written all over the wall. That is why congratulating Lord Mayor-elect Erias Lukwago comes as a surprise. It should be noted though, that the defeat was against Peter Sematimba and not the Presidency.

I can only imagine the state of affairs if Lukwago had been declared president of Uganda after trouncing Museveni; it is more likely than not that the country would be in a state of siege.
