Landslide kills family of 7 in Leyte.

TACLOBAN CITYTen people, including a family of seven, were killed while two children were missing when flash floods and a landslide hit 11 towns and two cities in four provinces, officials said.

Some 16,000 people were also affected by flooding triggered by incessant rains since Wednesday in the provinces of Leyte, Eastern Samar, Samar and Bohol.

A couple and their five children were asleep when their house was swept away 10 meters and then buried in mud and boulders at 2 a.m. yesterday in the mountain village of Cabalawan just outside Tacloban, said the office of Mayor Alfred Romualdez.
