Hosted by multihyphenate Kara DioGuardi, the Global Action Forum Gala brought philanthropists and advocates together Friday night at the Beverly Hilton.

First up. the Global Action Media Award went to hairstylist-photographer Michael Angelo for his "Lipstick Portraits."

"I decided if I was going to do something superficial like highlighting supermodels for a living, I need to decide how to give something back," Angelo noted.
