SRAM to let foreigners go.

BUDGET cuts have forced the Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia (SRAM) to release five foreign coaches attached to state teams when their contracts expire this month.

Reduced funding from the National Sports Council (NSC) means SRAM must fill the vacancies with local talent although it remains on the hunt for a men's elite and back-up coach after Pakistani Ajaz Azmat declined to have his contract renewed.

SRAM president Datuk Syed Mustaffa Syed Ali said SRAM is searching for sponsors to enable it to hire more coaches and also to expand the NSC Series of Wispa and PSA Tour tournaments for the benefit of the national back-up …
