The History channel, after deciding not to go forward with "The Kennedys," is reaching back to an earlier century.
Net has greenlit two-hour docu "Gettysburg," to be produced by Tony and Ridley Scott's Scott Free Prods. The film, as well as series and specials, will launch as a weeklong commitment to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the beginning of the Civil War. Richard Bedser will write the docu, which will be directed by Adrian Moat.
Cabler didn't give a specific date as to when the programming would begin, but said the shows would debut in the second quarter.
