Convention centres are springing up or being refurbished all around Europe. Abigail Wills provides a round-up of the main developments.
There will be a raft of new congress centres opening in Spain over the coming months. Being launched in the first quarter of 2011 are the Palacio de Congresos y Auditorio Beiramar in March and the Palacio de Congresos Ciudad de Oviedo in May, in northern Spain, which will have an auditorium for 2,150 delegates and 14 meeting rooms.
