Albert Kamau Wandui from Moi High School Kabarak is this year's Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education top student.
Albert, who was on Monday celebrating his achievement at home in Kasarani, Nairobi, attributed it all to hard work.
"I'm feeling really humbled because of how far God has brought me," said an elated Albert, 17. He knew he would do well, he said, but not to the extent of topping the KCSE list released by Education minister Sam Ongeri on Monday. Albert's mother, a single parent of three could not hide her joy. "He was such a hard working boy," said Ms Jane Kamau Wandui.
