SPLIT, Feb 27

(Hina) - Harsh accusation against the incumbent government were heard at a support rally for Croatian war veterans which began in the southern Adriatic city of Split around noon on Sunday ended shortly after 1 pm.#L#

Protesters demanded the release from custody of all veterans pending trial.

"We ask that 350 veterans be released immediately, pending trial, as those people would have never committed crimes had the Croatian people not been exposed to aggression and genocide," former special police commander Zeljko Sacic said at today's rally. …
