Astana, 28 February: The ODIHR/OSCE [Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights/Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe] mission for observing the presidential election in Kazakhstan has started its work.

"We are starting our work today," the head of the ODIHR mission for observing the presidential election in Kazakhstan, Ambassador Daan Everts, told journalists today following a meeting with the country's state secretary and foreign minister, Kanat Saudabayev.
