SENATORS AT the weekend have expressed concern over the impact of worsening civil unrest in the Middle East that is causing volatile oil prices, calling on the attention of Malacanang to enforce remedial measures.

In a radio interview, Senator Juan Miguel F. Zubiri lobbied anew for amending Republic Act 8479 or the Downstream Oil Industry Deregulation Act, particularly on broader powers to mitigate high pump prices.
