CITY OF SAN FERNANdoCount Pampanga Rep. Anna York Bondoc in as the newest consumer advocate against overbilling on Internet browsing through mobile phones.

Bondoc, a doctor, said she picked up the cause after Globe Telecom billed her P100,000 for Internet use on her iPhone in November 2010. She said she was in the United States for three weeks and, in previous trips, her phone bill ranged from P3,000 to P5,000.

The most expensive thing about my vacation was my Internet bill. More expensive than my airline tickets and hotel accommodation combined, she said in an e-mail to the Inquirer.
