Philippines: EDSA anniversary rites showcase People Power online.
Section: General News - The EDSA People Power Commission (EPPC) made an innovation in the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution.
During Friday's celebration, a portion of Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) covering the vicinity of the People Power Monument became a Wireless Fidelity (WiFi) Zone, allowing social networking fanatics, media, bloggers and other spectators to send status messages, updates, tweets and photos as the events happened.
