Ties are close and important, and consequences are significant. In the short-term, however, the chaos in Libya is not causing too much concern among the Italian firms active in the country or the firms that have Libyan funds among their stakeholders (the main ones are the ENI [Italy's National Hydrocarbon Body] in the former group, and Unicredit [Italian bank] in the latter).
