Football: Many schools have used the better weather to catch up on County Cup fixtures lost to the snow and ice before Christmas.

This is particularly true of the U19 John Fox Cup which is at the semi-final stage with Carlton-le-Willows at home to Manor (Mansfield Woodhouse) and Arnold Hill entertaining Becket.

In the quarter-finals, Becket won 6-2 at Bramcote College, while Arnold Hill beat Harry Carlton (East Leake) 5-1. In the other half of the draw, Carlton beat All Saints (Mansfield) 3-0 and Manor pipped Redhill (Arnold) 1-0. Four of the eight quarter-finalists are now known in the U16 Hawkins Cup.
