The Brunei Darussalam AIDS Council (BDAC) concluded its Penyinar Training Workshop: Participation, Advocacy and Education (PROACTIVE) yesterday.
The workshop saw the first batch of PROACTIVE Penyinar, including youth members of BDAC and Penyinar, trained to be HIV youth advocates.
The two-day training programme saw the first batch of 30 Penyinar, aged from 16-26 receive training in the relevance of youth participation in HIV and AIDS response in society, the Millennium Development Goals, how to organise awareness programmes on HIV and AIDS, STDs and teenage pregnancies.
