Searchlight doubles down at fest.

The pace of dealmaking at the Sundance Film Festival picked up late Sunday and early Monday with a rash of deals among smaller distribs and mini-majors.

Fox Searchlight led the charge, nabbing two of the fest's major titles within 24 hours: "Homework" and "Martha Marcy May Marlene."

"Homework," from first-time director Gavin Wiesen and toplining Freddie Highmore and Emma Roberts, went late Sunday, while a deal for "Martha Marcy May Marlene," with this year's Sundance darling Elizabeth Olsen, finalized Monday afternoon with Searchlight beating other interested buyers like IFC Films.
