T he appeal of a makeover is not always the desire for an upgrade or the ta-da of a drastic changemore often than not, the true excitement comes from peeling away convention to uncover hidden potential. Gloria Steinem once said, "Without leaps of imagination, or dreaming, we lose the excitement of possibilities. Dreaming, after all, is a form of planning." A makeover becomes a visual metaphor for the promise of something different.
