A FORMER manager of a city centre bar has been banned from driving for two years after getting behind the wheel when he was three times the legal limit.

Samuel Wright's Mercedes hit a wall and then struck a woman in Friary Street car park, Derby.

At the time of the offence, the 34-year-old was manager of the Pitcher and Piano in Derby's Friar Gate. He is now the manager of the pub chain's Nottingham branch.

Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court heard that one of Wright's car tyres struck the woman's right foot, causing a small amount of swelling.
