CONGRESS should make up its mind soon on whether or not to postpone the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) polls, a Commission on Elections member said yesterday.

Commissioner Rene Sarmiento said the sooner the lawmakers made up their minds, the better prepared the Comelec would be to conduct the democratic exercise.

Let us learn from the barangay elections. We dont want a repeat of it. The Comelec might be left hanging again. It would be for the best if Congress would hasten their decision, Sarmiento told reporters.
