Ballot Boxes Sent As Kirinyaga Central Polls Near.

Non-strategic election materials have been delivered to Kirinyaga Central as voters prepare to elect their MP in next week's by-election.

The materials, which include ballot boxes, were delivered on Tuesday in readiness for the February 16 poll.

Interim Independent Electoral Commission returning officer Teresia Mwai told the Nation that the materials were in safe custody.

She said the IIEC was prepared to deliver a free and fair by-election. "All systems are in place and we shall ensure that everyone is satisfied once the results are out," she said.
