from BERNAMA, The Malaysian National News Agency PUTRAJAYA, Jan 31 (Bernama) -- A total of 4,138 students or 63.3 per cent of Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) candidates obtained a least the minimum grade of Maqbul (pass) last year.

Education director-general Datuk Abdul Ghafar Mahmud said of them, 413 scored the Mumtaz grade (distinction) with 50 of them getting distinctions in all 10 subjects, 804 Jayyid Jiddan (very good) and 1,961 Jayyid (good) and the rest, Maqbul.

He said although there was a drop in the number of candidates scoring the Mumtaz grade compared with the previous year, Jayyid Jiddan scorers increased by 196 people, Jayyid (554) and Maqbul (259), …
