LAW, UNLIKE mathematics, is a very inexact science. Ask 10 lawyers to interpret a law and they will have 11 different interpretations. That is what is happening in the murder charges against Sen. Panfilo Lacson for the Dacer-Corbito slayings. And the different interpretations refer only to the warrant of arrest against Lacson. The Court of Appeals has quashed the murder charges against him, but although Justice Secretary Leila de Lima said she has not yet read the CA decision, she thinks the arrest warrant is still in force and that Lacson will be arrested if and when he shows up. She said the CA decision did not mention the lifting of the arrest warrant.
