Section: General News - The labor ministry spokesman affirms that social security privileges are as beneficial as the national universal healthcare system, after public criticism has grown over changes to the system.

Ministry of Labor Spokesmen Sutham Nateetong discussed claims that the universal healthcare scheme provides more benefits than the social security system.

He affirmed that social security is a better alternative than the gold-card medical treatment scheme, as it offers more privileges such as pension rights and unemployment compensation funds.

Sutham further stated that there are plans to expand medical privileges for social security holders. …
