MP Godi Remanded to Luzira Prison.

Arua Municipality MP Hussein Akbar Godi has been remanded to Luzira prison until February 11, 2011.
The MP will re-appear in court on the same day for the verdict.
Trial Judge, Lawrence Gidudu said given the nature of the case and the assessor's opinion, that Godi should be convicted, it was safer to have him remanded as he was likely to jump bail.
Earlier court assessors had asked the presiding justice Gidudu to convict the lawmaker over the murder of his wife, Rehema Caesar.
Principal state attorney Joan Kagezi said there was overwhelming circumstantial evidence to prove that Godi killed his wife on December 4, …
