ANIMAL charities will benefit from a variety of donations after a successful appeal was launched by a Moray pet shop.

Pearl's Pet Care at Forres encourages people to hand in unwanted items all year round, so they can be passed on to domestic pets in welfare situations.

During the festive season, shop owner Pearl Hamilton made a fresh appeal for donations, before good-quality animal products were replaced with new treats at Christmas.
