Malaysian players left empty-handed in Colombo.

MALAYSIA relinquished both the boys' and girls' team titles at the Asian Junior Squash Championships in Colombo, Sri Lanka on Saturday as Hong Kong and India underlined their growing stature in the sport.

After the boys' team were eliminated by India in the semi-finals on Friday, it was left to the girls to salvage some pride when they faced Hong Kong in the final.

But it was not to be as Tan Yan Xin and Vanessa Raj were blanked in three straight games to leave Malaysia empty-handed after having won both titles in Chennai two years ago.
