Section: General News - The Senate ordered the Department of National Defense (DND) on Thursday to produce the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the DND procurement records during the time of former AFP chief of staff and DND Secretary Angelo Reyes from 1999 to 2003.
Senator Antonio Trillanes IV made the motion during the Senate blue ribbon committee hearing after Reyes failed to give clear answer as to whether or not the latter had direct knowledge over the contracts and projects arranged by former military comptroller Carlos Garcia in behalf of the AFP.
