Theatrical and VOD label Sundance Selects has teamed with the Sundance Institute to release five films on demand as they bow at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival.
Pics, all recently acquired by Sundance Selects, are Brendan Fletcher's "Mad Bastards," Michael Tully's "Septien," Paul Mariano and Kurt Norton's "These Amazing Shadows," Joe Swanberg's "Uncle Kent" and Gregg Araki's "Kaboom." (Pickups of "Uncle Kent" and "Kaboom" were previously confirmed.)
All except "Kaboom" will world preem at Sundance. Movies, grouped in a special Sundance Film Festival section on cable carriers' on-demand channels, will be made available as each pic screens at the fest and will be …
