Iran minister speaks of progress on national internet network.
Text of report headlined "Taqipur: Launching of first phase of national internet network during 10 days of Dawn" published by Iranian newspaper Jomhuri-ye Eslami on 19 January
The minister of communications and information technology has said that the second phase of data network capacity development and the first phase of the national internet network will be inaugurated in the 10 days of Dawn [marking the anniversary of the 1979 Islamic Revolution]. He said: "As per the Fifth Development Plan, the launching of the national internet network is the duty of the government and its first phase will be inaugurated in the 10 days of Dawn."
