Verizon fighting FCC over net neutraility rules.

US telco Verizon is filing suit against the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) over new rules on net neutrality.

The company is objecting to regulations the commission is looking to put on wireless broadband networks that the company believes to be too strict.

"We are deeply concerned by the FCC's assertion of broad authority for sweeping new regulation of broadband networks and the internet itself," said Verizon senior vice president and deputy general counsel Michael E. Glover.

"We believe this assertion of authority goes well beyond any authority provided by Congress, and creates uncertainty for the communications industry, …
