Section: General News - The government may find it harder to meet its pledge to keep diesel prices below 30 baht per litre as global oil prices keep rising due to cold spells, the Bangkok Post reports.

Shell Companies in Thailand Co on Tuesday raised its retail prices for biodiesel B5 by 0.50 baht per litre to 29.89 baht, and for gasohol 95 and 91 by 0.50 baht to 34.84 and 32.34 baht respectively.

Shell now sells only B5, containing 5% palm-based biodiesel, at its stations. Many other traders also offer B3 diesel.

Other oil traders on January 12 followed Shell's lead, lifting their pump prices by 50 satang a litre.
