Konduz, 10 January: The German foreign minister has visited Konduz. German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle arrived in northern Konduz Province on Monday [10 January] where he met the governor of Konduz and his forces.

After the meeting, the German foreign minister and the governor of Konduz, Mohammad Anwar Jegdalak, addressed a joint press conference. The German foreign minister said Germany would begin the withdrawal of its forces from Afghanistan in 2011.
