NOBEL PRIZE winner Joseph Stiglitz says that with climate change, food security should be a primary concern of every nation. Centro Saka executive director Omi Royondoyan made a similar recommendation last Jan. 4 at an Alyansa Agrikultura meeting.

Eliseo Inciong, Egg Board chair, agreed: With climate change, we can no longer rely on imports from other countries. We should have food security. We should import only what we cannot produce.

He continued: But instead of the government helping us produce, it is actually harming us with its import orientation.
