4G WIMAX SERVICE PROVIDER PACKET ONE NETWORKS (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd has deployed Juniper Networks MX Series Universal Edge Routers to create a new high-speed, service-enabling MPLS core network.

With the MX Series, Packet One, which now has over 200,000 subscribers, has increased network capacity while reducing operational costs and accelerating the delivery of advanced fixed and mobile wireless broadband services.

'The broadband market is relatively under-served in Malaysia and we are on track to extend our 4G WiMAX coverage to 45% of Malaysians households by the end of this year, with the goal of hitting 65% by 2012,' says Michael Lai, CEO of Packet One.
