Konduz, 31 December: At least five Taleban have been killed in a night time operation by combined forces. Eight Taleban and two policemen were reportedly killed in separate operations in three provinces of Afghanistan early Friday [31 December] morning, but the Taleban admit that only five of their fighters were killed.
