Konduz, 31 December: At least five Taleban have been killed in a night time operation by combined forces. Eight Taleban and two policemen were reportedly killed in separate operations in three provinces of Afghanistan early Friday [31 December] morning, but the Taleban admit that only five of their fighters were killed. Mr Shahedollah Shahed, the spokesman for the governor of Wardag Province, which is to the Afghan capital, Kabul, told Afghan Islamic Press [AIP] on Friday morning that the ISAF [International Security Assistance Force] and the Afghan forces had killed five Taleban and wounded another, who …
