Section: General News - A campaign has been launched to reduce road accidents during New Year celebrations, from 30 December 2010 to 4 January 2011.

The campaign Arrive Alive is being carried out jointly by both public and private sectors during this period of the year when people usually travel to celebrate this special occasion. It has been launched together with another campaign against drunk driving, which is a major cause of road accidents.

The Government intends to bring down casualties in festive seasons, such as New Year celebrations in late December and early January and Songkran, the traditional Thai New Year in April. Road accidents are among the biggest …
