The Federal Government has said it is committed to increasing its investment in the energy sector as well as enhance the conditions for private sector involvement in the generation, transmission and distribution of power in the next year.

Minister of State for Power, Arc. Nuhu Somo Wya, who noted this on Tuesday at a dinner organised by the ministry for Energy correspondents in Abuja, said the country would witness "a transformation in the power sector such as has only taken place in the communication sector over the past few years."
