WALHI OPPOSES ROAD CONSTRUCTION IN KERINCI SEBLAT NATIONAL PARK.
from ANTARA, The Indonesian National News Agency Bengkulu, Bengkulu, Dec 20 (ANTARA) - The Indonesian Forum for the Environment (Walhi) opposesthe proposed construction of a road in the Kerinci Seblat National Park (TNKS) to connect Jambi's Mukomuko and Kerinci districts as it will endanger the park's environment, a spokesman said.
"The planned road will definitely obstruct the preservation of the environment in the Kerinci Seblat National Park which must be protected," Berlian, a member of the board of Walhi's Bengkulu chapter, said here Monday.
