THERE has been marked improvement in the coverage of elections in terms of volume, quality and balance by New Vision and Bukedde newspapers, a new study has shown.
The study released yesterday in Kampala by the Media Monitoring Network (MEMONET), a consortium of independent media organisations, said among the publications analysed, New Vision devoted most space to electoral issues, followed by the Daily Monitor.
It also credits New Vision for diversifying its coverage with many stories on the opposition parties such as Forum for Democratic Change, Peoples Development Party, Uganda People's Congress and Democratic Party.
