THE US ambassador to the UN Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO) has encouraged former internally displace people (IDPs) in northern Uganda to adopt modern farming for sale to the World Food Programme.
Cousin Ertharin disclosed that the World Food Programme under its Pprchase for progress strategy will next year double its local purchase of maize grains from 210,000 metric tonnes to 400,000.
