Section: General News - The city government of Muntinlupa has imposed a total ban on the sale and distribution of firecrackers and other pyrotechnic devices in a strong bid to cut down the number of firecracker-related injuries during the New Year's Eve revelry.

Muntinlupa City Mayor Aldrin San Pedro signed Executive Order No. 14 prohibiting any business establishment or individual from selling firecrackers within the city.

He said not even the small sari-sari stores will be exempted from this policy.
