from BUSINESS LINE, November 30, 2010 Mumbai, Nov. 29 - A locally-developed reusable insulin pen from multinational drugmaker Sanofi-aventis is set for launch here in the second quarter of 2011, said Dr Shailesh Ayyangar, Vice-President (South Asia).

The product is in an advanced state of development, involving a global partnership with Indian medical devicemakers, with technical support from Frankfurt, he said, without divulging details.

The product would be made to Indian specifications, he added, indicating the locally made reusable pen would be more cost- effective, even as it maintains its quality.
