The money market opened the week on a firm note on Monday as the rupee managed to gain modestly against dollar in process of trading, dealers said. The rupee gave up it's weekend slide, gaining 12 paisa in relation to dollar for buying and selling at 85.78 and 85.83, they said. In the first Asian trade euro fell to its lowest in two months against dollar as the market looked past a rescue package for Ireland to other euro zone economies and a euro zone crisis resolution mechanism.
