LEICESTERSHIRE MASTERS sent one of their strongest teams to the Midlands Area gala at Stafford and were rewarded with a well-deserved second place.

They finished behind a strong Warwickshire squad, who have won this area gala many times.

The times will be collated when all the areas have competed and then the final results over the whole country will be announced in a few days' time.

The County team, under the guidance of organiser Sharon Lock, had seven wins, but a string of second and third places earned them the runner-up spot.

There were two wins each for Tsubasa Nakagawa and Nathan Oxford.
