Thailand: SCB Research believes Korean clash not to affect Thai economy.

Section: Economy - Siam Commercial Bank's research center does not believe the recent clash on the Korean peninsula will have any significant impact on the Thai economy. But the bank warns of a volatile foreign exchange market.

Siam Commercial Bank or SCB's Economic Intelligence Center believes the recent clash between North and South Korea will not have a significant impact on the Thai economy. The bank says Thailand's export to the two nations account for only two percent of the total export figure. On the tourism front, the number of Korean visitors to Thailand represents just six percent of the total number of foreign tourists.
