370 mil. yen sent to Ozawa group / Money appears to have made dubious journey from defunct party
A local chapter of the Democratic Party of Japan headed by former party President Ichiro Ozawa donated 370 million yen to his fund-management body the day after receiving the same amount from a political group that pooled donations from the now-defunct Japan Renewal Party, it has been learned.
The suspicious donation was brought to light by last year's political funding reports released Friday by the Iwate Prefectural Election Administration Commission.
