Somerset director of cricket Brian Rose has highlighted four key players in England's bid to retain the Ashes.

While the names of skipper Andrew Strauss, star batsman Kevin Pietersen and leading spinner Graeme Swann will come as no surprise, few observers would mention Chris Tremlett as a man of influence.

But Rose feels the Surrey seamer's pace bowling could well be significant, even though he is unlikely to play in the opening game that starts at Brisbane tonight.
