Interventions: Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), risperidone (Risperdal), haloperidol (Haldol), bromperidol (Bromidol), olanzapine (Zyprexa), aripiprazole (Abilify), sertindole (Serlect), lithium (Eskalith)

Case: A 26-year-old African woman with an 18-month history of schizophrenia was admitted for a psychotic relapse, with auditory hallucinations, delusions, and agitation. She had no other remarkable medical history, and initial laboratory test results were normal.
