Councils Could Get Targets On Street Families.

Local authorities may soon sign performance contracts based on the rehabilitation programmes of street families.

Local Government minister Musalia Mudavadi said setting targets for local authorities countrywide would be a measure to evaluate their efficiency. "The government will set specific and clear targets aimed at improving the standards of living of the people," Mr Mudavadi said Wednesday during the launch of the Street Families and Rehabilitation Trust Fund five-year strategic plan at KICC.
