Section: Government and Politics - Deputy Prime Minister Sanan Kachornprasart says he has won the support of former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra for his effort to bring about national reconciliation, the Bangkok Post reports.

"Thaksin said he agrees with my reconciliation effort and he wants to see Thai people talk to each other," Maj Gen Sanan told a news briefing on November 9 to discuss his meeting with Thaksin in Oslo last week.
